Well, GWCA doesn't expect any delays for our group in getting to China. So I booked the tickets today! I'm relieved, but a bit worried, too. There are families stuck in China right now, unable to return to the U.S. with their new children because of the travel stoppage. There are GWCA families from the first half of August DTC, who are delayed leaving because of the disruptions in airline service. It still seems easier to focus on these little problems, since it's so difficult to comprehend the full scope of the tragedy that has befallen us. From the beginning, this adoption has been a leap of faith. I suppose this is just another leap in an uncertain world. So, we'll all have faith that the flight will be safe and uneventful, that there won't be any delays, that soon I'll hold Zoe in my arms. |
