This is Malinda now: Thanks, Bev for posting the "welcome home" photos! And thanks to everyone who came to greet us -- it really made it special to have you all share in our joy in bringing Maya home! A very important part of Zoe's adoption story has always been that everyone met us at the airport because they were so excited to meet Zoe for the first time. So Zoe KNEW everyone would be there to meet Maya for the first time, just like when she came home. But I don't think Zoe expected that folks would be excited to see her, too. So thanks to those who made a special effort to acknowledge Zoe -- she really appreciated that! And when Maya is old enough, she, like Zoe, will hear about the folks who came to meet her at the airport, so excited that she was becoming a part of our world. I know that that will be a treasured part of her adoption story, just as it is for Zoe. |
